Osho Nirvana is delighted to present this exclusive Women’s Retreat with Vasumati
We are living in an exciting time to be a woman. We are in a new era where we can have a choice and a voice in which we can speak out passionately, tenderly and creatively about things that matter to us inwardly and outwardly and be heard.
Our Longings and Struggles as Women…
- We desire to engage in deeper dialogues around intimacy and love where we share our deepest feelings and thoughts
- We often struggle with our sense of worth and value; out of fear and insecurity have held ourselves and our power back
- We long to share and live our sensuality and passion in safety and respect
- We long for love but not at the expense of losing ourselves. We want success and abundance but not at the expense of becoming too masculine, stressed, and outer-focused.
- We long for meditation, awareness, and having an open heart
What you can expect from the Workshop…
In this workshop we will deepen our connection to our bodies and our inner feminine essence while finding a more mature dimension of self-love and acceptance.
The word “Tantric” refers not only to sexuality, but to the totality of ourselves as open, alive, intelligent and wise women.
In the company of other women, we will create a powerful energy field where we will explore the deeper dimensions of being an empowered embodied fully alive and compassionate woman.
- We will discover our hidden strengths and resources that are intrinsic to our being and will support each other to confront what holds us back and limits us
- We will heal the parts of us that carry wounds from past relationships that have hurt our ability to trust and our capacity for deep intimacy.
We will work with breath and dance, meditation, enquiry and awareness, and deep sharings in pairs or in the circle as a whole!
It will be a dynamic, creative, and fun experience!

Vasumati has been a psychotherapist and counselor for the last 30 years, specializing in the areas of co-dependency, relationships, Essence, and Tantra. After completing a psychology degree at the University of Cape Town in South Africa she moved to London where she completed further education in Somatic Psychotherapy. She studied Reichian Bodywork with Gerda Boyesen, and completed a 2-year professionalcourse. While in London she studied the humanistic psychologies that were emerging from Esalen Institute in California. These included Psychodrama, Gestalt, and Family systems.
In 1976 Vasumati went to India to meet the Guru Bhagwan Rajneesh and spent many years in India learning meditation, working in the commune, and practicing therapy in individual and group settings. This experience in India brought her to the understanding that there is a new type of therapy emerging called the Psychology of the Buddhas. This approach understood that the traditional therapies of analysis and later of emotional discharge could not promote change and healing on deeper levels if meditation was not brought in. And up to the present day, Vasumatis work is based on the interface between psychotherapy, spirituality, and meditation. In 1990 she became interested in Co-dependency and trained in couple counseling at the Couples Institute in Palo Alto California. Today she works in a group, training, and individual setting in Couple, Relationship, and Family Therapy.
Her work takes place in a gentle and non-invasive space, clients are supported to compassionately enquire into the issues and conflicts, fears, and tensions that hold us back from living at our full potential. Self-understanding and communication skills provide the basis for deepening our intimate connections with each other. This will lead to respect, appreciation, and a healthy mature love.

Description
No-Mind is one of the Therapeutic Meditative Processes that Osho created.
Using the unique technique of speaking only Gibberish for one hour at a stretch we can release the stress in our mind and unburden ourselves by expressing the blocked repressed energies.
All tension is based on inner conflict. And all inner conflict is based on a misunderstanding between the conscious and the unconscious mind.
Someone insults you. You become angry and react, perhaps damaging them and/or yourself. Or you become sad and only damage yourself. The reality is different. The anger is sitting there waiting for a chance to be expressed and the insult provided the trigger by touching an old wound.
Then the mind jumps in and puts subtitles on the anger movie: “You are right to be angry – you have been insulted.”
Gibberish when done with absolute intensity, takes us out of our logical mind and into the realms of the mysterious and spiritual.
It supports participants to move beyond their usual boundaries of expression and daily structures, to experience an exalted state of No-Mind.
The second part is silence and witnessing. For the next hour, we are just witnessing the body, the mind and anything that is happening within us. Besides this process, there will be some other meditations throughout the day supportive of this intense process.
Osho No Mind is an energetic process, that work on an individual in group dynamics with no intervention from the therapist. You are your own surgeon and patient.
Osho describes this phenomenon: “Your mind is nothing but gibberish. Put it aside and you will have a taste of your own being. Use gibberish and go consciously crazy. Go crazy with absolute awareness so that you become the center of the cyclone. Simply allow whatever comes, without bothering whether it is meaningful or reasonable. Just throw out all the mind-garbage and create the space in which the Buddha appears.”

“Its rejuvenating the way Lama ji talks about this, he talks about the dying process and after-death experiences like taking a bus ride. … reduces fear and takes away the dramatic weight of it.“ – Swami Samadhi, Germany
We at Osho Nirvana, heartily invite you this 5-Day Bardo Thodol Retreat With Lama Tenzin.
The Bardo Thodol is the most well-known dying process is the Tibetan Buddhist scripture.
OSHO refers to it as Tibet’s most significant contribution to the world.
The basic message is to:
“simply let go of everything on your own accord. Relax, and accept death without any antagonism as a culmination of life, as a natural phenomenon. It ends nothing. Remain conscious and watch what is happening – how the body starts becoming more and more distant from you, how the mind starts falling into pieces as if a mirror has fallen and broken into pieces, how your emotions, sentiments, moods…everything that made your life starts disappearing. It is the end of a dream. That is the fundamental point in Bardo, that you have lived a dream that you call life, a seventy-year-long dream. It is coming to an end….” Osho
Death is one of the most misunderstood and mysterious topic.
During this retreat Lama Tenzin will share various dimensions of death and insights that will help us understand this process.
Some of the teachings involve:
- Meditation:
- Tonglen,
- Vipassana,
- Death & Impermanence,
- Clear light and Visualization
- Death of spiritual masters, spiritual practitioners, general people
- The Six Intermedia states (Bardo)

- Helping others who are dying

Osho Nirvana is delighted to present this Women’s Retreat with Vasumati
Calling at Women! Give your self (or your beloved) a gift of this retreat!
Osho Nirvana, in San Diego is delighted to present this exclusive Women’s Group with Vasumati. Last year we had a beautiful group and we are presenting this again, this time for 3 days.
Tantra is a very deep and complex subject.
It is a science and philospohy and also a psychology with very Esoteric aspects to it.
In this group we will explore some of the deep themes that are touched in the study and practice of Tantra.
Our interest here is about Love and relationship.
In the earlier days Tantra was a practice that was done by Meditators and mostly they were not in intimate relationships, which on some level made things easier.
Tantra for modern people is more challenging as we are in deep intimacy with our partners and that brings up all the issues that we have to face in a couple relationship. One of the biggest things we have to deal with is Surrender, how to surrender to Love while keeping our integrity and not compromising, if we surrender too much , we collapse and lose ourselves and if we hang on to our individuality too much we become rigid and incapable of melting.
AS Tantra is about Love and acceptance it means we have to also be honest and reveal ourselves.
We hide when we dont accept ourselves, yet hiding blocks openess and intimacy, so we first work on acceptance, how to love and accept ourselves and each other. We learn to let go of the Inner Judge and the Negative self criticism that we carry around from our past.
We accept our needs and fears, our masculine and feminine. This finally lets our defences melt and our hearts open.
When the heart starts to open then Intimacy and trust can begin, and when the heart is open, love is no longer split.
Tantra heals the splits in us – the split between heart and sex and the split in us between our masculine and feminine sides.
These splits keep us in tension and conflict and when we are no loner internally divided our life takes on a new color and meaning.
The work is for everyone who wants to grow.
We will do carefuly constructed exercises – enquiries that are very profound and healing
Boundaries will be respected and needs honored.
We will work with Body, energy, breath, sharings, dance, and meditations.
Personal work will also happen
It is fun, challenging, intense, and beautiful what can happen in the space of a few days.
Welcome to “The Psychology of Tantra”
It will be a dynamic, creative, and fun experience!
