A “Zorba the Buddha” Experience with Krishna Prem
Swami Krishna Prem (KP) is back in San Diego! yay!
We had a wonderful event last year with KP and he is back to offer more juice…
In our weekend together, Krishna Prem will share Osho’s Active Meditations with us… In a soft, non-confronting way. Some of us find it is so easy to be a Zorba, outwardly enjoying life. While others find it more rewarding to be a Buddha, spending our life inwardly meditating… For Krishna Prem, life is a balancing act. This day together is simply stated, “How to be in the world without the world being in you!”
We will share together how to have roots into the earth while we spread our wings in meditation.
The world is simply noise… When we add meditation to our lives, we create music.
“I would like you to enjoy the wholeness of your being, when your body, your heart, your intellect all fall in tune. I have called that the new man — Zorba the Buddha.” Osho
Join in on a VERY SPECIAL weekend of Osho inspired Meditation and Satsang with author and meditation teacher Krishna Prem! In this event Krishna Prem will explore with us the path of Meditation, and we will look into this mystery called Life… Living totally and being able to let go is one of the keys to happiness and joy. We are going to explore how to be totally you and still remain a human being and not just a human doer in todafast-pacedaced, stressful world – a challenge for all of us. Krishna will share with us many different Osho meditation techniques, brilliantly build up until for sure at the end we will hit the roof with bliss!
“Drop the idea of becoming someone, because you are already a masterpiece. You cannot be improved. You have only to come to it, to know it, to realize it.” Osho

Osho Nirvana is delighted to present this exclusive Women’s Retreat with Vasumati
We are living in an exciting time to be a woman. We are in a new era where we can have a choice and a voice in which we can speak out passionately, tenderly and creatively about things that matter to us inwardly and outwardly and be heard.
Our Longings and Struggles as Women…
- We desire to engage in deeper dialogues around intimacy and love where we share our deepest feelings and thoughts
- We often struggle with our sense of worth and value; out of fear and insecurity have held ourselves and our power back
- We long to share and live our sensuality and passion in safety and respect
- We long for love but not at the expense of losing ourselves. We want success and abundance but not at the expense of becoming too masculine, stressed, and outer-focused.
- We long for meditation, awareness, and having an open heart
What you can expect from the Workshop…
In this workshop we will deepen our connection to our bodies and our inner feminine essence while finding a more mature dimension of self-love and acceptance.
The word “Tantric” refers not only to sexuality, but to the totality of ourselves as open, alive, intelligent and wise women.
In the company of other women, we will create a powerful energy field where we will explore the deeper dimensions of being an empowered embodied fully alive and compassionate woman.
- We will discover our hidden strengths and resources that are intrinsic to our being and will support each other to confront what holds us back and limits us
- We will heal the parts of us that carry wounds from past relationships that have hurt our ability to trust and our capacity for deep intimacy.
We will work with breath and dance, meditation, enquiry and awareness, and deep sharings in pairs or in the circle as a whole!
It will be a dynamic, creative, and fun experience!

Facilitator: Vasumati Sharon Hancock

Vasumati has been a psychotherapist and counselor for the last 30 years, specializing in the areas of co-dependency, relationships, Essence, and Tantra. After completing a psychology degree at the University of Cape Town in South Africa she moved to London where she completed further education in Somatic Psychotherapy. She studied Reichian Bodywork with Gerda Boyesen, and completed a 2-year professionalcourse. While in London she studied the humanistic psychologies that were emerging from Esalen Institute in California. These included Psychodrama, Gestalt, and Family systems.
In 1976 Vasumati went to India to meet the Guru Bhagwan Rajneesh and spent many years in India learning meditation, working in the commune, and practicing therapy in individual and group settings. This experience in India brought her to the understanding that there is a new type of therapy emerging called the Psychology of the Buddhas. This approach understood that the traditional therapies of analysis and later of emotional discharge could not promote change and healing on deeper levels if meditation was not brought in. And up to the present day, Vasumatis work is based on the interface between psychotherapy, spirituality, and meditation. In 1990 she became interested in Co-dependency and trained in couple counseling at the Couples Institute in Palo Alto California. Today she works in a group, training, and individual setting in Couple, Relationship, and Family Therapy.
Her work takes place in a gentle and non-invasive space, clients are supported to compassionately enquire into the issues and conflicts, fears, and tensions that hold us back from living at our full potential. Self-understanding and communication skills provide the basis for deepening our intimate connections with each other. This will lead to respect, appreciation, and a healthy mature love.

Calling at Women! Give your self (or your beloved) a gift of this retreat!
Osho Nirvana, in San Diego is delighted to present this exclusive Women’s Group with Vasumati. Last year we had a beautiful group and we are presenting this again, this time for 3 days.
Tantra is a very deep and complex subject.
It is a science and philospohy and also a psychology with very Esoteric aspects to it.
In this group we will explore some of the deep themes that are touched in the study and practice of Tantra.
Our interest here is about Love and relationship.
In the earlier days Tantra was a practice that was done by Meditators and mostly they were not in intimate relationships, which on some level made things easier.
Tantra for modern people is more challenging as we are in deep intimacy with our partners and that brings up all the issues that we have to face in a couple relationship. One of the biggest things we have to deal with is Surrender, how to surrender to Love while keeping our integrity and not compromising, if we surrender too much , we collapse and lose ourselves and if we hang on to our individuality too much we become rigid and incapable of melting.
AS Tantra is about Love and acceptance it means we have to also be honest and reveal ourselves.
We hide when we dont accept ourselves, yet hiding blocks openess and intimacy, so we first work on acceptance, how to love and accept ourselves and each other. We learn to let go of the Inner Judge and the Negative self criticism that we carry around from our past.
We accept our needs and fears, our masculine and feminine. This finally lets our defences melt and our hearts open.
When the heart starts to open then Intimacy and trust can begin, and when the heart is open, love is no longer split.
Tantra heals the splits in us – the split between heart and sex and the split in us between our masculine and feminine sides.
These splits keep us in tension and conflict and when we are no loner internally divided our life takes on a new color and meaning.
The work is for everyone who wants to grow.
We will do carefuly constructed exercises – enquiries that are very profound and healing
Boundaries will be respected and needs honored.
We will work with Body, energy, breath, sharings, dance, and meditations.
Personal work will also happen
It is fun, challenging, intense, and beautiful what can happen in the space of a few days.
Welcome to “The Psychology of Tantra”
It will be a dynamic, creative, and fun experience!
